A Bad Website Can Hurt You More Than No Website At All

That's true. As an Internet user myself, I often look for services or products online. I'm sure you have done that in the past. Has it ever occured to you that whenever you arrived at a bad website - even though the website was offering the services or products you were looking for - you closed it right away without even giving it a second thought?

Well, it happens a lot to me. That makes me think, a bad website can hurt your business more than no website at all. While a bad website at least puts your business in the World Wide Web, it can also give a negative image about your business and push your potential customers over to the competitors.

So, how can you avoid these mistakes? By simply:

1) Make sure that you get a website when you are ready. You should only starting to invest your money in developing a website when you are ready to spend time and money on the website.

2) Entrusting your website to professionals. You may know someone who understand HTML and knows how to use graphic software, but you need professionals - like Halim Design - to get professional result. An amateurish website can only convince your potential customers that your business is simply not a serious one and less credible. Don't give your potential customers an excuse to not do business with you. If you can't afford professionals, wait until you can or work out a payment plan.

3) Making a website is part of your business plan. Your website should support your business goal and should go hand in hand with your marketing strategy, not against it. If you are not sure what is the objective to have a website, you should carefully determine this before building the website. Nothing is worse than a website with no clear purpose.

4) Ensuring your website looks at its best. If your website looks old, have professionals to redesign and give it a new touch. Your website should be professional, clean, easy to navigate and works well on different computer and different web browsers, so your customer can read and view your products or services.
